Griffin GearUp

Griffin GearUp is an on-and-off campus, two-day experience for admitted first-year students that includes meeting with an academic advisor, registering for classes, understanding the financial aspect of education here at Westminster, exploring leadership development, and getting to know your peers.

Each session starts with an information day on campus for students and their guests, before we head up to a cabin in the Wasatch mountains for the evening overnight portion of the trip. Students will get to have fun and share stories about their journey and excitement about their transition to college!

Prepare for GearUp

For late arrivals on the day of Griffin GearUp, please visit the Dean of Students Office located in the Shaw Student Center to check-in.

Guest at Griffin GearUp

As part of your registration with Griffin GearUp, you able to bring one (1) additional guest to the program. Please note that lodging for the student is provided as part of the Griffin GearUp program, however, lodging for the guest is not provided. For a list of local hotels please visiting the lodging page to the left.

Students—Please bring some warm clothes and shoes as the temperature in the mountains at night is colder than in the Salt Lake Valley.

*For traveling purposes keep in mind that day one of GearUp begins at 10:00 am and day two ends at 1:00 pm
