Daniel K. Cairo

Daniel K CairoDaniel serves as the Director of Student Diversity and Inclusion Center and Interim Assistant Dean of Students. Daniel coordinates the center's efforts to make Westminster College a more inclusive, diverse, and equitable campus. As a strong advocate for student inclusion and success, Daniel's efforts focus on increasing the visibility and inclusion of students who are of color, queer, gender non-binary, first-generation, low-income, and students with disabilities. Daniel's areas of expertise include social justice education, inter-group dialogue, neoliberalism critique, interpersonal violence and prevention education, first-generation student engagement, student development, leadership, and all things Harry Potter. Daniel earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcasting, with a minor in Ethnic Studies, and holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Utah and a Master of Education in Instructional Leadership from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Daniel is currently a doctoral student in the Higher Education Administration program at the University of Utah's Educational Leadership and Policy.

Kari Lindsey

Kari LindseyKari Lindsey serves as the Program Coordinator for the Student Diversity and Inclusion Center. Kari received her BA in English, and is currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Writing and Rhetoric at the University of Utah. Kari earned her graduate certificate in Gender Studies in 2016, and is passionate about intersectional inclusion work. Her scholarship centers on queer rhetoric, rhetoric surrounding assault survivors, educational inclusion work, collaborative classrooms, and intersectional feminism. Kari is passionate about creating more inclusive spaces for marginalized students, while also celebrating diversity on campus.

Faith Staley

Faith Staley

Faith serves as the Queer Compass Program Coordinator. She‘s a sophomore pursuing a major in Political Science and double minors in French and Spanish. She’s been an advocate and organizer in the LGBTQ+ community for several years and looks forward to continuing her work at with the SDIC. Her goals include fostering community, hosting educational events, and making sure the college’s resources are accessible to LGBTQ+students. She loves to knit, drink coffee, and do cartwheels.

Amin Abdinasir

Amin AbdinasirAmin Abdinasir is the Coordinator of the Black Excellence program. He is from Kenya, and came to the US in September 2015. Amin is currently going to Westminster College as a sophomore perusing a degree in Math and Computer Science, and hopes to have a prestigious career after finishing college. Amin hopes to help people by teaching them what he has learned. Amin has volunteered at Hawthorne Elementary School, helping kids with project management. Amin is passionate about playing soccer, reading books and helping others.

Ai Nhi Nguyen

Ai NhiAi Nhi serves as the Asian American and Pacific Islander Life Coordinator Program for the Student Diversity and Inclusion Center. She will graduate in Fall 2020 with a major in Finance and minor in Data Science. She is currently on the youth board of FutureInDesign (FIND), supporting low-income and underrepresented young adults to overcome the societal barriers they are faced with. Her goal for the program is to provide access and establish successful pathways for the AAPI and underrepresented students. When she is not working or studying, Ai Nhi can be found scouring the streets searching for amazing coffee and dogs who need petting.
