Provost Responsibilities:

The provost oversees the academic integrity of the college. Reporting directly to the provost are the deans from the five schools on campus:

The School of Arts and Sciences The School of Nursing and Health Sciences The School of Education The Bill and Vieve Gore School of Business Honors College

The provost also oversees enrollment management, the library, information systems, registrar, faculty fellows, innovative learning, integrative learning, global engagement, adjunct support, the Environmental Center, the Center for Civic Engagement, summer camps, faculty development, the McNair Scholar’s program, Kim T. Adamson Lecture Series, and Ambassador John Price and Maria Price World Affairs Lecture Series.

The provost helps lead the college's strategic plan based on three key initiatives:

  • Assuming affordability and sustainability
  • Building a community of learners
  • Innovating to support student success

The provost also serves as the chief executive officer in the absence of the president.
