Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

In response to the rapid spread of COVID-19, we have decided to suspend all campus visits and on-campus events until at least May 12, 2020. We understand that this poses an inconvenience to both prospective and current students, faculty, and staff of Westminster College. We hope that by taking these precautionary measures and following the CDC’s guidelines, we will help curb the spread of this pandemic and keep our Westminster community safe.

1. Pay Your Tuition and Housing Deposit

Tuition and housing deposits are combined for first-year students. Pay your deposit so we can secure your spot at Westminster College. After you pay your deposit, you will be ready to register for classes and housing when those registration periods begin. Deposits are due by June 1, 2020.

2. Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Visit to apply for financial aid online. Contact the financial aid office at 801.832.2500 for assistance.

3. Register for Housing

Make sure to secure your spot in one of the residence halls early, as campus housing is in high demand. The application to register for housing is available beginning Jan. 1, 2020. Students must have their housing application completed by April 5, 2020. Our first- and second-year living experience is designed to provide students with the best possible college experience. All first- and second-year students are required to live on campus. Move-in day is Friday, Aug. 14, 2020.

4. Attend Admitted Student Day

Saturday, March 28, 2020

Join us on campus to celebrate your admission to Westminster College. At Admitted Student Day, you will have the opportunity to meet other admitted students and their families, attend live classes, explore a clubs and organizations fair, and ask all of your questions about life at Westminster. Registration is required.

Admitted Students Day has been cancelled.

5. Register for Classes

Registration for classes begins in April with Griffin GearUp programs, which help first-year students experience campus, meet other students, and prepare for the first day of classes. There are many dates to choose from, making it easier to schedule your visit when it works best for you.

First-year students who cannot attend a Griffin GearUp should email for more information.

6. Attend New Student Orientation

Other Ways to Prepare for Your First Semester

External Credit

For Advanced Placement (AP) exams, submit a request through the College Board for your scores to be sent to us. You’ll be able to talk about your exams during your registration appointment. Details for transfer equivalencies for AP examinations are available through the academic catalog.

International Baccalaureate students should submit a request through the IB portal to send your scores directly to us. Details for transfer equivalencies for IB Examinations are available through the academic catalog.

Students who took college classes while in high school must submit an official transcript from the college or university when their semester is completed. Credit noted on your high school transcript is not sufficient.

Deferring Your Enrollment

First-year students who have paid their enrollment deposit may apply for a deferral for up to two years.
