Hosted by ASW Event and the Resident Hall Association
Members of the Sugar House and Westminster community join in solidarity on issues and matters related to justice, unity, and diversity. The rally and march is a gathering on the campus of Westminster that will highlight the importance of promoting social justice and unity in America and abroad. It will feature personal reflections from campus and community members who are committed to diversity and community. Transportation will be provided for individuals requiring mobility assistance.

This signature event of the MLK experience invites Westminster and the greater Salt Lake communities to hear from thought-leader and poet Nikki Giovanni. This ticketed event is free and open to the public.

Photojournalism: Ethics, Imagery, and Understanding Our World with Nicole Tung
Presented by the Utah Center for Citizenship Diplomacy World Affairs Lecture

Ms. Nicole Tung will address how professional photojournalists continue to tell stories from around the world about human rights issues and the news whilst upholding journalistic ethics and finding one's own stylistic approach in creating impactful imagery. She will also discuss why photojournalism is still important and vital to a deeper understanding of our world. Ms. Tung is an American citizen born and raised in Hong Kong.

Westminster Peace Concert (Westminster only)

Hosted by the National Alliance of Mental Illness on Campus, Griffins for the Greater Good, and the Westminster Military Association
This art-infused event invites members of the community to join in promoting a world where we have greater understanding and empathy of each other and where we appreciate differences. Artists will perform works that reflect a message of unity, justice, and togetherness. In addition, individuals will share their story of being a part of the community.

Faculty, staff, and students at Westminster are encouraged to share their personal narratives of their journey to Westminster, their experiences related to their identity, and/or what they hope for diversity and inclusion at Westminster. The campaign will be both print and social media and aimed to identify opportunities for the campus community to better connect.
